Join Us for an Evening Talk at the Grand Pavilion
In keeping with our town’s Victorian Festival, our church is hosting a evening talk where we will consider the renowned Victorian scientist Michael Faraday as well as others who had to grapple with this ever relevant question:
Are science and Christianity friends or foes?
Join us as Prof Stephen Taylor a leading modern scientist from the University of Liverpool speaks about Faraday’s life and addresses whether modern science and the Christian faith are really at odds with one another after all. Prof Taylor’s talk will include a short video presentation as well as (time permitting) a live demonstration of an experiment that made Faraday famous. There will also be time for questions and answers as well as a cup of tea for all to enjoy.
