First Time Visiting?

We want to extend to you a warm welcome to any of our Sunday services. We hope this post gives you a little insight about what a normal Sunday is like if you are visiting for the first time.

DSC_0991 A Warm Welcome

When you enter our church, you will be kindly greeted by one of our members and offered a hymn book. We use Christians Hymns published by the Evangelical Movement of Wales in 1977. You can also request a Bible, should you need one. Our church has wheel chair access, comfortable seating and a loop system for those hard of hearing.

Traditional Worshippulpit

Our services usually last about an hour. We sing traditional hymns which remind us of Biblical truth about our Saviour. The minister in charge of the meeting will lead in Scripture reading, public prayer, as well as deliver a Biblically-based sermon. Some of our speakers give a children’s talk as well in the morning service. Following the notices, we do have an offering for any who feel led to give in support of the church .

During the later half of each Sunday service, there is a children’s Sunday school for young children, which includes Bible stories, crafts, singing and often biscuits!

There is also a “parents room” upstairs for parents who may wish to take their children out of the main service. This room is equipped with a sound system so you can still hear the preaching while supervising your children. Children are of course more than welcome to sit through the whole service, should their parents prefer that.

Evening ServiceIMG_2095

Our evening service is quite similar to our morning service; often the same minister who leads in the morning ministers in the evenings as well. Sunday school continues during the later half of the service as in the morning.

On the first and third Sunday in each month, we participate in the Lord’s supper – open to all born again believers as a memorial of our Saviour’s death on the cross. We encourage anyone to experience the blessing of spending both morning and evening of the Lord’s day in the Lord’s house.
